Bengaline (faille)

Bengaline is a densely woven fabric with ribs at intervals across the fabric. It is made with single warp yarns and heavy filling yarns. The ribs are heavier and rounder than those in poplin fabrics and the fabric is stiffer than poplin. Bengaline can be made from rayon, acetate, nylon, silk, cotton, wool or blends
